Credits and billing
All questionsWhat is a credit?
A credit is Thumbora’s internal unit for generation. Each output image costs a fixed number of credits that depends on the model, the resolution and the mode, and the generator shows the total before you start. Credits have no cash value and can’t be transferred to another account.
How many thumbnails will I get?
Divide your credits by the cost of one image. The table above shows the current cost per image for every model, and the plan cards show an estimate for the default model. Generating several images at once multiplies the cost by the number of images.
What happens if a generation fails?
Credits are reserved when you start and charged only for images that are delivered to your project. If an image fails, times out, is blocked by the provider’s safety filter or is cancelled before processing begins, its credits return to your balance automatically.
Do credits expire?
Subscription credits are granted every month and are valid until the end of that billing month — unused subscription credits don’t carry over. Credits from one-time packs don’t expire, and the validity of sign-up credits is shown in the comparison table above. When you have credits from several sources, the ones that expire first are used first.
How does a yearly plan work?
You pay for the year upfront at a lower price, and credits are still granted every month. Limits are the same as on the monthly version of the plan.
Can I cancel or change my plan?
Yes. You can cancel at any time in Billing: the subscription stays active until the end of the period you paid for and is not renewed after that. Plan changes are also made in Billing, which shows when the change takes effect.
How do I pay?
Payments are processed by WayForPay on its secure payment page, where the available methods (cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay) are shown. Thumbora never receives your full card number. Credits and subscriptions are activated only after WayForPay confirms the payment.
